A good Christian movie such as The War Room brings the much needed prayer revival that church folks having been craving for. The movie illustrates the power of intimacy with God and the need for the church to get back on our knees. The power of prayer to change things and transform lives is illustrated through the various challenges and victories of the key characters in the movie. It shows how we can indeed be light and salt in our world.
My neighbour recommended that I should watch The War Room after I returned from a prayer conference. So I fished out the movie from my cupboard where I had kept it for months and sat down to watch it.
The movie narrates the story of an old widow, who uses her past pains and mistakes as deep motivation to maintain a prayer closet. Her altar of intercession becomes a significant influence upon the lives of her neighbours, family and even complete strangers that she meets in her everyday life. One of such strangers is a young real estate agent who is experiencing marital problems and feels hopeless about the situation.
The story is compelling for anyone who desires to seek a deeper relationship with the LORD and who would like to become an influence and a light everywhere they find themselves. I highly recommend The War Room. Get ready to cry, and then laugh.
