Why Ubuntu?

The word 'ubuntu' was popularised by Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mandela as a way to heal post-apartheid South Africa, the ancient Bantu word encapsulates the idea of shared humanity: “I am, because we all are.”
Here’s how the New World Encyclopedia defines the word that is also used in Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi and Zimbabwe:
“It implies an appreciation of traditional beliefs, and a constant awareness that an individual’s actions today are a reflection on the past, and will have far-reaching consequences for the future. A person with ubuntu knows his or her place in the world and is consequently able to interact gracefully with other individuals.”

Africa contributes less than 1% to the Global Creative Economy… However, we have the potential to generate several times more in GDP by harnessing our creative industry. This can only happen through human development and the establishment of key support structures.
The national and ethnic identity of many sub-Saharan Africans are at risk. There is a mass exodus of Africans to more developed nations. Many in the diaspora are unable to return because of culture shocks.

Human Capital Development is vital for our development
The richest countries in the world also have the highest dependency on the service industry rather than on raw materials. The acres of diamonds are in our human resource.
