East Meets West

Dr. Wanle Akinboboye is a UNESCO ambassador for Nigeria and the visionary founder of La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort in Ibeju-Lekki.

The vast and beautiful resort which is located about three hours from the International airport in Lagos was the venue for a series of meetings with Nigeria's best film stars and musicians in a bid to use the Nigerian movie industry as a catalyst for growing a similar film industry in Tanzania.

To represent Tanzania, the Tanzania ambassador to Nigeria and his consul Elias Nwadobo brought a director from The Tanzanian Ministry of Culture and Touriism, Mrs. Rosemary Fisoo.

The meetings culminated in the forming of various work committees, the nomination of various entertainers as lead delegates to Tanzania and the formation of a partnership with the Nigerians in Diaspora Organization.
